Our current apparatus is equipted with a 100' aerial ladder and 250 / gallon per minute pump. It is also equipped with 264 feet of ground ladders and numerous tools, of which include over 40 hooks.

1954 - 1975
Our sixth truck was equipped with a 75 foot aerial ladder with a hydraulic lift, allowing just two fireman to raise the ladder in a matter of moments. It also carried 299 feet of ground ladders.
1929-1954
Our fifth truck and (the first Seagrave) in our department's history, this apparatus carried a 55' heavy-duty extension ladder and was a tractor trailer city service design.
1916-1929
Our fourth (and first motorized) truck in our department's history, this apparatus came stripped and all equipment from our prior truck was adapted to fit. This was the vehicle that shared in the fighting of the American Analine Company fire.
1911 - 1916
Our third truck - and last horse drawn apparatus - was the pride of Upper Nyack. Carrying a 65 foot extension ladder - the tallest in the Nyack Fire Department - this truck served only 5 years as horse-drawn trucks became outdated.

Our second truck - and first tiller truck - was a very fine apparatus, purchased for the sum of $1,250. It was equipped with 7 ladders, four lanterns, a tool box, two hand extiguisters, siz buckets, one ram, two pickaxes, two shovels, two pitchforks and best of all - a rear tiller.

Our first truck arrived at Nyack's main street dock on the steamer America. Purchased for the princely sum of $251.50 from Jersey City No. 1,
it was equipped with 6 ladders, 10 hooks, 4 axes, two pickaxes, 1 crowbar, and leather buckets.
At one of our early meetings, the treasurer reported $1.95 on hand. When questioned by the president as to the amount, he replied, "I will ask my wife, she generally keeps it in the coffee pot."
